I work a bit different than most designers.
I think there is a group of designers who stick to Photoshop and another group who sticks to Illustrator.
I use both.
So basically, most social media posts can be done only on illustrator but if an image comes into play as in a non-vector object, I use Photoshop, save that file as a .psd and then import that file inside illustrator.
A lot of people think I should just use photoshop, But I hate the vector graphics editing experience in photoshop, it is just not as good as illustrator.
And the same way, the image editing capabilities have been introduced in recent versions quite a bit more than before in illustrator. But they just dont feel right for me.
Ofcourse, I’m obviousely not like opening and closing programs here. I have both applications open and I tweak and save the files from both sides. Thanks to Adobe dynamic link, when I save the psd
after an update the update will automatically reflect within illustrator. The process of my design might be rare, but Adobe definitely made accounted for it in their software.
But obviousely the dynamic linking is more useful for other combinations, perheps in Illustrator to Aftereffects or perheps After effects to Premiere Pro.
Thanks for reading.
